It all began on June 02, 2022, at a wedding in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico. Jose and Alicia had heard about each other for months through their mutual friend, Genesis, but for some reason, fate had kept delaying their first meeting. That is, until this magical day when their paths finally crossed.

Fast forward to August 13, 2022, for their first “unofficial” date. It started with margaritas at 9 a.m., followed by a beach day where vegan sunblock refused to rub in properly. The afternoon took an unexpected turn when they ran into one of Jose’s friends at a bar with bottle service. The evening wrapped up at Hussongs Cantina at the Orange County Fair, where they sipped micheladas and danced to backyard boogie music. The day was wild, fun, and totally unplanned—but by the end of it, they both knew: this was just the beginning of something special.

The fun didn’t stop there. Laughter, adventures, and countless spontaneous moments filled their days as they grew closer and discovered how truly compatible they were.

On June 24, 2024, after a whirlwind of unforgettable experiences, Jose proposed to Alicia in Rome—the city they both had always dreamed of. In the heart of the Eternal City, surrounded by history and beauty, he asked her to spend forever with him. The engagement ring, chosen with love from a jeweler in Jose’s hometown of Fullerton, was the perfect symbol of their journey together and the future they were about to begin.

When it came time to choose where to tie the knot, Querétaro felt like the perfect place. Alicia had spent a year studying abroad here, and the city had become a home full of adventure, culture, lasting friendships, and beautiful memories. With its vibrant colors, rich history, and charm, Querétaro holds a special place in her heart. It was the ideal setting to begin this next chapter of their lives and share it with the people they love.
